We heard that clarklewis had kicked off their new happy hour this week, so naturally Michelle and I had to check it out. Our drinks were oh so good--I had The Spring (vodka, muddled cucumber and basil)($5), Michelle had a vodka martini with two olives (only $4!), and our friend had the Greyhound (gin 'n grapefruit)($5). I plan to return the first genuinely lovely Spring day for a few more "Springs" at a table near the big roll-up doors. The food menu was expansive and categorized by price--for a dollar you could get crostini with cannelini bean puree, for two dollars you could try some housemade mozzarella in carrozza with pesto, and so on and so forth. Check out the menu link below. We were headed to Table For Twelve at Apizza Scholls, where we planned to stuff ourselves with Apizza Amore, so we only ordered the Artisan Cheese with Tart Apples and Marcona Almonds ($3) and come to think of it, I just realized there were no marcona almonds on the plate. Robbers! I shall take this matter up with Bruce Carey immediately.
Here are the details:
